Shoes and convenience of playing table tennis

By: Kasmono Monex, a fan of healthy living

The benefits of shoes are numerous, apart from being protective for our feet in activities, they can also be accessories or fashionable.

Especially for ping pongers, shoes really help the movement of our feet while playing, even protect the feet from scratches due to friction with the floor.

The sound of players' shoes squeaking becomes a beautiful rhythm when we are playing. It doesn't have to be expensive, the important thing is comfortable, safe and strong.

Once upon a time, there was a veteran ping pongers who left for practice in a hurry, usually there was a tool he forgot to leave behind. But the enthusiasm is extraordinary, because table tennis is fun and knows no age.

On a sunny Sunday morning, the elderly veteran hurriedly put on his shoes and headed off to the training ground.

Along the way he felt something strange in his left leg, a little uncomfortable.

When he arrived at the practice site, after warming up he immediately started playing. While playing, he still feels uncomfortable with his left leg. Worried about his health, the elderly veteran asked his friend to take him to the doctor for a checkup.

Preventive effort rather than later, so he thought.

When I got to the doctor, I still felt uncomfortable and a little sick. The doctor arrived to check. The pulse is good, the blood pressure is normal, now it's time for the doctor to examine the left leg which is the complaint.

After the doctor examined it, the doctor immediately smiled giving a signal that the complaint was not as bad as it was feared. This dialogue occurs:

_The old veteran: why is the doctor smiling?_

_Doctor: the cause of the pain has been found sir.._

_The old veteran: do I have cholesterol, or symptoms of a stroke?_

_Doctor: no_

_The old veteran: then why doc?_

_Doctor: Father wears all the right shoes, so his left leg must be sore sir_

With a bit of embarrassment, the old veteran realized his mistake in rushing to put on his shoes. He had two pairs of the same shoes, and it turned out that they were all wearing the right ones.

Pingpongers, we can take lessons from the story above, check the equipment that we will bring when we are going to practice. Choose shoes that are comfortable to support performance during practice.

Keep fit by playing Table Tennis

By: Kasmono Monex, a fan of healthy living

During the Covid-19 pandemic, ping pongers must have felt an extraordinary longing just wanting to practice again. Circumstances force us to social distancing in order to break the chain of transmission. Get around with light exercise at home to stay fit and maintain stamina. Grateful for ping pongers who can and allow for practice.

Table tennis is a sport that requires a lot of energy, both physically and psychologically.

Physically and psychologically for table tennis players must always be maintained if the game is to be on fire. How is it possible for a player to play well if his physical or mood is dropping? Or if one of them drops, it will definitely affect the quality of the game.

There is a significant positive relationship between hand-eye coordination and hitting accuracy. This means, the better the eye and hand coordination of a player, the more precise and accurate his shot will be.

There is a significant positive relationship between achievement motivation and hands (hits). This means, the higher the achievement motivation, the more precise the shot when playing.

There is a significant positive relationship between feeling, eye, hand coordination (physical and psychological) and the higher the player's achievement motivation, the more precise and accurate a shot in table tennis is.

Keep the motivation and dream and practice diligently will undoubtedly produce results little by little. Everything is not instant, depending on the intentions of the players themselves.

Remember... achievement is not because of free gifts, but must be hard work.

SELF-CONFIDENT

By: Kasmono Monex, a fan of healthy living

The first step in making a child confident is respect, good language and good talk. This must be felt by the child and shown by deeds. That way, children feel valued and grow their self-confidence.

Directing young players to be able to master various stroke techniques in table tennis is not easy, direct instructions are not immediately digestible. It takes patience and perseverance so that child psychology is maintained.

Exercise variations must be applied so that children do not feel bored. Practicing while playing, that's about to get the kids excited about practicing. If in practice he already enjoys it, of course it will be easier for him to accept the coach's instructions. The mentality of young players must be nurtured without reducing the rights of children at their age, happy...happy...and happy...

TABLE TENNIS OASE

TABLE TENNIS OASE

By: Kasmono Monex, a fan of healthy living

Not a single player in this table tennis sport has ever
felt the bitterness of an achievement test, even for
professional players. Because we are among
the players who have their own strengths and
weaknesses, who are both preparing to undergo
an achievement test.

Achievements don't have to be on the podium and
take trophies, on a small scale raising the level of
playing skills or just being able to increase stamina
in order to maintain health and even then
achievements.

Thank people for giving us input on how to play
before we ask for it.

Thank those who managed to understand our
limitations before we explain the shortcomings of our
technique.

Thank you to those who have accepted us as training
partners with all the shortcomings we have.

Pray and forgive those who have hurt us in silence,
who always spread slander and enmity so that others
hate us.

One thing we must remember, that the interpretation
of other players about us will not have any effect on
our game. Keep practicing and think positive.

Human praise is pseudo. Decorate you with a million
flattery or will make us worse than what we have in
mind.

Tired and always ends up lonely.. that's the end of the
story of those who are obsessed but ignore the steps
to achieve achievement.

Practice, enjoy the process until achievement.

Anticipate Opponent Attacks in Table Tennis

Anticipate Opponent Attacks in Table Tennis

By: Kasmono Monex, a fan of healthy living

A table tennis player must master and have tactics
to attack because by hitting the ball fast and hard
towards the opponent's table field, it will be able
to destroy the opponent's defense. Therefore, table
tennis players should always take the initiative
to make aggressive attacks on the opponent.
This is done using various forms of fast, strong
or hard, and precise punches. The usual attack tactics
used by players are basically using forehand and
backhand strokes with spin balls.

But keep in mind, players with good defense can
also be very reliable to win a match.

One tactic of table tennis is to keep the ball in play
longer than your opponent. By staying consistent
on all our shots, we can often win points by default,
because the opponent will make unforced errors.
In other words, a good defender can beat an attacking
player, as long as he is able to consistently keep
the ball longer than his opponent.

With a relatively small table, players are required
to hit with high accuracy in placing the ball.

To anticipate an opponent's attack, players must read
the possible direction of the opponent's ball.
The majority of players will place the ball diagonally
across the table. Why? Because if the diagonal
of the ball's path becomes longer on the table surface,
and the probability of the ball going in is greater.
Players in anticipating attacks must build instincts
towards the direction of the ball diagonally. However,
to anticipate the arrival of a straight ball, players must
also hone good reflexes.

Keep your concentration and thinking while playing
and be smart in making decisions quickly and
accurately.

We must first know the opponent's weakness.
Weaknesses of opponents will be known when we are
playing with him. If we already know and know our
opponent beforehand, use these weaknesses to defeat
him.

Nusantara PingPong Relaxation

By: Kasmono Monex, a fan of healthy living

A few days ago I attended a Jaya Suprana talk show with Yon Mardiono (Indonesian National Table Tennis player) as the speaker. There is no doubt about the achievements of the Indonesian table tennis people from the source, I think everyone agrees.

With this abundant experience of national and international achievements, Yon hopes that table tennis development in Indonesia will use the basecamp method like in China and the League method like in Europe.

Until now, Indonesia does not have a base camp, every player who enters the National Training Center will be sent abroad (China) for the Training Center. For now China is difficult to beat because China uses both methods. The Chinese players practice nine hours a day, this is what makes the Chinese players so tough.

Entering 187th in the world ranking, Yon is a player with excellent attacking characteristics owned by Indonesia. Indonesia can follow an example (comparative study) to China in coaching and managerial national table tennis.

Sharing stories and experiences at the Jaya Suprana Show, Yon really inspired Pingpong Nusantara people. A Yon Mardiono hopes that there will be professionalism in managing/guiding Indonesian table tennis. Hopefully Indonesian ping pong will be excited again, both for hobbyists, players and administrators of national table tennis.

But behind the story of Yon Mardiono's brilliant achievements, there is a sad story in Indonesian table tennis. why?

Since 2009, the Indonesian table tennis body has split, there has been a dualism in the management of PTMSI. Even today it has become trialism. This resulted in barren coaching for players. Clubs disband, players lose their future and many more are sacrificed from unprofessional management. Finally, Yon hopes that the current management of PTMSI can be temporarily suspended for better future performance. It is hoped that the government will step in and help fix the crisis at PTMSI.

Jaya Suprana promised to bring together Yon Mardiono with the Menpora to discuss the phenomena occurring in Indonesian table tennis. Hopefully it will be implemented and produce quality discussions so that it can be the best solution for Indonesian table tennis.

Keep going uncle Yon, keep moving forward Pingpong Nusantara!!

How to deal with tipping points in table tennis

By: Kasmono Monex, healthy living fan

Numbers or points in every sports game are the most valuable, including table tennis.

Why does every majority player play so insistently during the match? It simply maintains the name of the point. So important? Of course!!

The point advantage is what causes a player to win the game.

Then how do you get around the game at critical points?

Most players will play very carefully. Some are trying to calm down more so that their mentality is easy to control. There are also those who encourage themselves by shouting. However, there are players who take advantage of the opportunity by asking the referee for a time out, so they can discuss with the officials in determining this crucial strategy.

Analysis and clear thinking greatly influence the steps taken. Keep fighting for one point, the rest is the lucky factor that plays a role.

Any other experiences?

Evaluation as a barometer of our progress in playing table tennis

By: Kasmono Monex, a fan of healthy living

After practice, we get used to evaluating the progress of the game, fixing it until the graphics have improved.

So what do we need to pay attention to?

1. Speed โ€‹โ€‹of footwork (foot speed)

How fast our feet move in the court area (court control)

If this is usually already formed naturally, but it can still be improved by means of regular practice with certain movements, for example with shadow or multiball exercises or lots of balls.

2. Hand speed

How fast is our hand movement when moving towards hitting the ball. The speed of this hand movement can also be increased with various routine exercises. Honing reflexes is the best thing to do. You can also practice shadows using weights/ iron bats so that later the hands feel light when actually playing, thus the hands become more agile in movement.

3. Leg strength

How strong are our legs to support our movements.

This one is very dominant in supporting the game, because with strong legs it will greatly affect the accuracy of the shot. Good horses will support the whole game. Do additional exercise besides playing, can be by running or other types of aerobics.

4. Power

How big is the explosion of our moves and punches.

Explosive punches must be practiced continuously. Shadow exercises with iron bats can also be tried to increase our hand power.

5. Abdominal strength (stomach strength)

How strong / flexible is our stomach (waist).

We need stretching to be more flexible. Do it and get used to stretching before and after exercise so that the muscles work optimally.

6. Balance (balance)

When moving fast, how balanced is our body.

It must be mastered so that we are not hectic when shaken by the opponent. Also make sure to wear shoes with a non-slippery outsole so that when you move to the right and left quickly you don't slip due to slipping.

7. Emotional Level

How to keep our emotions while playing? Playing calm, maintaining concentration in playing is the key to maintaining emotion while playing.

Those are some of the barometers that we can evaluate, hopefully with evaluations like this we can improve performance in playing table tennis.

The inaugural launch of PTM Tiga Dewi was marked by cutting the tumpeng by General Chairperson Wahyono Eko Putro on Sunday 15-11-2020. The pieces of tumpeng are handed over to the youngest member (Ananta), with the philosophy that PTM Tiga Dewi has members from the age group to adults, practicing according to a predetermined and tiered training program, so it is hoped that PTM Tiga Dewi will become a place to practice for its members, and can make a positive contribution to regional and national tennis. PTM Tiga Dewi always collaborates with Tiga Dewi Table Tennis School/TDTTS, because it has the same historical name and base cam, namely Tiga Dewi (GOR Tiga Dewi).
